The stakes could not have been higher.
In the middle of the action, an attacking player entered the box and attempted an ambitious dribbling maneuver: moving the ball from one foot to the other, then back again, in an attempt to evade the defense.
The maneuver was spectacular.
Unfortunately, not in the way anyone had hoped.
As disappointment filled the room, an explanation was offered:
“He was trying to do dis dis.”
The intended meaning was simple: he was trying to move the ball from this foot to this other foot.
But something much more important had happened.
